24 Weeks: Girls Weekend in the Windy City

I kicked off the start of week 24 in Chicago with two of my best college friends, Amy and Souji. We had a lot to catch up on and celebrate as the last time we were together was at our wedding almost a year an a half ago. Souji will be moving back to Chicago in July, and we got to see where she'll be practicing and living. All right in the middle of downtown Chicago, we are so excited to have her back in the midwest!

As the baby and my belly grow, everything else around us has seemed to really pick up. We finally finished moving furniture around, and mended the mantle that had just been finished after it was damaged in the move (a way too long, drawn out endeavor). The good news is, it's finished! Also, in house news, we ordered the nursery furniture!!! I owe my husband a HUGE thank you in dealing with my wishy-washy ways, and more then a few trips to the Mart. We also owe my Mom more than a dozen hugs for her help with the purchase. At this point, I'm hoping the summer slows down a little, so I can enjoy what's left of these four months. I can say that at this point, because I can still bend down without too much trouble and am really enjoying this part of the pregnancy. I won't lie though, I've had more than one morning that I was surprised to wake up with this belly and almost wished it away. Then the little peanut starts moving, and I'm reminded of what an extraordinary adventure we're on.
